What is Career Connect?

Career Connect is an online employability platform designed for Regent College Students by Abintegro. The platform has a range of short courses, exercises, and employability tools, such as a CV builder, an interview simulator and an assessment centre.

The content on the Career Connect platform will help you to:

  • Develop your employability skills, e.g., project management, problem solving and presentation  
  • Discover your career possibilities
  • Support you in job hunting, including how to target your job search 
  • Support you with CVs, applications and Interviews

Why is this part of my programme?

We want all students to improve their employability options as a result of studying with us. We want to help you to move up on your career ladder. Career Connect supports you to do this. Career connect will help you to understand, develop and harness a different set of employability skills and attributes that are required for the future of work in the global economy. By completing these activities, you will learn to develop skills that will make you more employable and you will have a set of skills that you can add to your CV.

Career connect will help students to get better graduate jobs. A better job might be a job that earns you more money, it might be a job that is better suited to your personality type, or it might be a job where you work for yourself as an entrepreneur. Whatever you want to do, Career Connect will equip you with a set of skills that will help you thrive in the world of work. 

What will my Career Connect activities look like?
  • Over the course of 15-weeks, you will complete 6 activities on the Careers Connect platform as part of your Business Studies lectures
  • Every fortnight, you will be required to complete one of the 6 exercises below. 
  • You will work on these activities independently, and you teacher will let you know in which weeks you are completing which exercises 
  • The content covered over the six weeks is summarised in the table below

How do we check you have done the work?
  • The careers connect platform is a self-contained platform, and we will be notified every time you complete the activities set.
